This is one of the most recurrent questions in our canine nutrition clinic, do dogs eat salt? Is the diet necessary in the dog’s salt? The answer is yes and no, it depends on the quality of the diet.
Salt has been demonized a lot, and it is not for less with the refined salt we eat, it is considered one of the “four white killers” of the diet (the other three are: sugar, refined flours and milk).
So SALT IS NOT SO BAD FOR THE DOG, but it depends on what kind of salt, not just any, forget about refined salt.
